Bartell’s Take is a family-owned hibachi-style food trailer serving the Youngstown, Ohio area and surrounding communities. Our schedule changes week to week, so the best way to find us is by checking our Events page on our Facebook page/group, or following us on Street Food Finder.

We are mobile, so we do not have one permanent daily location. You’ll find us at public events, local businesses, private parties, festivals, and community stops throughout the area.

We serve hibachi-style meals with options like chicken, steak, shrimp, and veggie meals. Adult meals include rice, mushrooms, onions and our yum yum sauce, unless otherwise noted on the menu.

Yes. The mushrooms and onions are not mixed in and can be left off. The yum yum sauce comes in a cup with a lid.

Bartell’s Take is our “take” on the food so many of us loved from Tokyo House. We do not have Can’s actual recipes, but we’ve spent a lot of time working to get the flavors as close as we can. It’s our way of bringing back something that meant a lot to our family and this community.

Yes! We offer smaller portion kids’ meals when available. And no, you do not have to be a kid to order one. If a smaller meal is what sounds good to you, we’re happy to make it.

Online ordering may be available for certain public events or stops. When ordering ahead is available, we’ll share the link on our website or social media. Otherwise, you can order right at the trailer window.

Yes, extra sauce and side items may be available depending on the event and inventory. Ask at the window or check our current menu.

Because we cook fresh and operate from a food trailer, some items may sell out before the end of an event. We always recommend coming earlier when possible, especially at busy public stops.

At this time, Bartell’s Take is not gluten-free. Because of our ingredients, sauces, and shared cooking space, we cannot guarantee that any meal is gluten-free or free from cross-contact.

Yes! Bartell’s Take is available for private events, parties, graduations, employee lunches, neighborhood events, and more. You can fill out our catering/request form on the website, and we’ll follow up with availability and details.

We mainly serve the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley area and nearby communities. Travel depends on the date, event size, location, and schedule. Send us the event details and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
